IT ONLY TAKES A SPARK TO LIGHT A FIRE Powell Valley National Bank, a VACB member in Jonesville, is one of many corporate sponsors coming together in the southwest part of the state for the inaugural SWVA Economic Forum. Hosted by UVa-Wise in Wise, Virginia, the forum evolved from a charge of the school’s Chancellor, Donna P. Henry, asking for a way to bring people and companies together to collaborate on ideas for increased economic opportunities in this part of Virginia. The Forum will be held Thursday, May 12th at the UVa-Wise cam- pus. The Forum will provide an opportunity for participants to share ideas, learn from each other and combine voices to generate greater momentum for the area’s economic development.
